I.KI.GAI

Ikigai is a Japanese term meaning “that which gives your life meaning or purpose”. Owners Dustin and Maryfrances Wyant’s ‘Ikigai’ offers its community and visitors unique, high-quality food and beverage experiences. They strive to create places with a soul to enhance the time spent breaking bread together. The concept of a seasonally adapted Asian menu fueled by local farms and the finest seafood is something they have wanted for years in the valley. From the thoughtfully designed dining room accented by dried botanical art, through the integrated open kitchen and into the speakeasy-style bar, Ikigai delivers a feeling of harmony and balance that matches the rhythm of Oregon wine country.

Executive Chef/Culinary Director Phillip Michael Price brought this vision to fruition. Similar to the restaurant’s design vision, Phillip’s menu flows naturally with the abundance of the Willamette Valley, changing with the bounty of each season provided by our local farmers. His carefully crafted ferments, sauces, and kimchi provide both foil and complement to a menu nearly void of gluten (except ramen).
