Member Benefits
Here's what Carlton Business Association and its members are up to:
- The CBA sponsors numerous marketing campaigns throughout the year in strategically-placed publications such as the Yamhill Valley Visitor Guide, Mix Magazine and theOregon Wine Press. Members who opt-in to the $100 marketing fee receive prominent mention in ads.
- The Carlton Main Street committee is investigating a scenic bypass route through Carlton.
- The Office Oversight Committee stocks the rack card in the John L Scott/CBA office on Main Street and distributes brochures to other visitor centers.
- The long-awaited Information Kiosk is built and should display the CBA member map by Thanksgiving.
- The CBA’s marketing program designed for the Labor Day Half Marathon (in which participating CBA business members offered discounts to runners who displayed our custom-printed “Carlton” corks) encouraged visitors to explore Carlton after the race.
We’re Helping to Make Carlton a Great Place to Live, Work and Visit
- In May, we partnered with the City of Carlton to sponsor Clean Up Carlton Day, resulting in 6 dumpsters of trash, yard and electronic waste, as well as a lot of cleaned-up streets and yards throughout town.
- The Carlton Main Street Committee procured grants to restore the Ladd Fountain in Upper Park and is partnering with the City to complete a poolhouse/public restroom design study and submit a grant application.
- The Board of Directors is working with City on a New Business Welcome Packet
- CBA members painted, cleaned up and replanted flowers at Welcome to Carlton signs
- Love those Carlton banners –courtesy of the CBA!
We Keep You Informed about Happenings which may Impact Your Business
- At least one Board member attends each City Council meeting
- We invite guest speakers such as last quarter’s Steven Spiegel on the revisions to Carlton’s Design Code
- The monthly newsletter provides timely and informative detail to help you communicate with and learn about your fellow CBA members.
We need your help to keep accomplishing great things for Carlton’s business community. Please join a committee in 2011!
