Carlton Winter Wine Tasting + Local Artisan Bites - Jan 21, 22, 28

If Portland is a bouquet of roses, you'll have no problem catching a delightful whiff of all that's offered in this Adventure. Spend a day exploring the quaint wine country town of Carlton, Oregon as you enjoy wine tastings, stamp cards to premier eateries, take-home gifts, and special discounts.
 
We'll gather for this self-guided tasting event at The Horse Radish Wine and Cheese Bar in Carlton where our team of oenophiles will be on hand to help us make sense of the trough of goods awaiting us. After a brief explanation of the how to use our drink and food stamp card, we'll receive a swag bag full of fun stuff, including a LivingSocial wine opener and wine glass, as well as a map of all the participating wineries and snack stops. Then it's off to the races as we wend our way through nearly a dozen pouring stations, eateries, and gift and specialty shops taking part in this Carlton Business Association event.
 
As we make our way through the town, we'll be treated to 15 one-ounce wine tastings at a slew of spots, including Noble Pig Winery, WildAire Cellars, Cliff Creek Cellars, Terra Vina Wines, Seven of Hearts/Luminous Hills Wines, Barking Frog Winery, Mouvance Winery, and K&M Wines, where we can enter a drawing for a private wine and cheese party for six.
 
We'll also have four food-tasting stops on our map. Head to The Horse Radish Restaurant for a cheese plate; Republic of Jam for a sweet and savory pairing plate, small jar of artisan jam, and Jammolier Button; Valley Emporium for Carlton Farms Sausage tasting plates with Republic of Jam mustard, a Siltstone wine tasting, and a vintage shop; or Honest Chocolates to try the shop's chocolate-covered lavender caramel. Plus, we'll have the chance to take advantage of 40% off all Carlton and Highway 47 souvenirs at the Violet Rose Gift Shop. If that doesn't make us the world's happiest hive of bumblebees, we're not sure what will.
