Bike Friendly Businesses

Carlton is a small, welcoming and friendly town.  We now  have several bike racks, featuring unique designs, all over town.  Many businesses are working to learn how they can fulfill bikers’ needs through a program hosted by Travel Oregon called  Be a Bike Friendly Business.

Another local group, the Friends of the Yamhelas Westsider Trail, is working to purchase a piece of land from the Union Pacific Railroad that runs from McMinnville to Hagg Lake.  They plan to turn this former railroad line into a hike and bike trail.  This trail will run through downtown Carlton.  The Carlton Business Association is working to support the efforts of this organization and bikers everywhere.
