TOUR OUR AREA BY BIKE!

Carlton is a small, welcoming and friendly city located in Yamhill County, in Oregon's Northern Willamette Valley - Self described as a "Great Little Town" and "Oregon's Wine Capital".

We now have several bike racks, featuring unique designs, all over town.  Many businesses are working to learn how they can fulfill bikers’ needs through a program hosted by Travel Oregon called Be a Bike Friendly Business.

Another local group, the Friends of the Yamhelas Westsider Trail, has worked with the Yamhill County Commissioners to purchase land from the Union Pacific Railroad that runs from Carlton to Gaston.  The plan is to turn this former railroad line into a hike and bike trail.  This "Rails to Trails" Project will run through downtown Carlton.  The Carlton Business Association is working to support these efforts and the needs of bikers everywhere.
